2016: A Generous Year
Community Continues to Rally Around Safe Sleep Initiative
Ohio’s Infant Safe Sleep Law requires that all hospitals implement a screening procedure to determine whether or not there will be a safe crib for a newborn upon arriving home. Lake Health Foundation received a generous grant from the Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) of the United Way of Lake County, providing resources for Obstetrics leadership to determine the sleep environment safety. Paperwork will be completed by the infant’s mother prior to patient discharge. Twenty-five Graco® Pack ‘n Play®’s are available to these families, through partnership with Cribs for Kids®. Thank you to the WLC for your compassion and generosity, integral in saving the lives of our precious infants born at Lake Health.
Auxiliary Welcomes You Inside the Perrico Health Campus
Anyone can support community programs and services by purchasing gifts at a Lake Health gift shop. Over 1,000 compassionate volunteers improve our patient care, throughout our hospital system. The Volunteer Auxiliary has committed yet another generous contribution. A $100,000 gift will provide an inviting waiting area within the Perrico Health Campus, open to the public in June 2017.
2015 Year in Review
Lake Health Foundation would like to thank the more than 1,200 generous team members, physicians, corporations, organizations and community for contributing over $1,900,000 in 2015. Approximately thirty-five initiatives were supported including music therapy, AWHONN fetal monitoring, behavioral health, surgical equipment, support groups and so much more! This wouldn’t be possible without the incredible commitment of our donors.
Legacy Health Services Makes Generous Gift
Lake Health Foundation graciously accepted a significant gift from Legacy Health Services, parent company of Mapleview Country Villa and Wickliffe Country Place. The funds will benefit the Willoughby Health Center Campaign. Thank you for your generosity!
Trustee Helps Ease Hunger
Lake Health Foundation received a very substantial estate commitment of $50,000 from a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees which will benefit the Hunger as a Health Issue initiative. If you would like to learn more about estate commitments, life insurance policies, or other planned gift vehicles, please contact the Foundation at 440-354-1934.
Brennan, Manna & Diamond Signs Multi-year Pledge
Lake Health Foundation would like to extend our appreciation to Matt Heinle and the entire team at Brennan, Manna & Diamond, LLC for their continued commitment to Lake Health and Lake Health Foundation. They have recently signed a multi-year pledge which includes support of both the FORE! Wellness Classic and the Glitz, as well as The Brennan, Manna & Diamond Endowment Fund and the Perrico Health Campus. This represents their largest gift to date. Thank you!
