Practice Manager Portal
The Lake Health Physician Services Department provides a variety of practice management support programs and services to the physician practices that refer their patients to Lake Health. The services are intended to assist a practice with becoming a best practice operation in a cost effective and efficient manner. Newsletters and e-mail blasts are used to keep practices abreast of hot topics and operations issues.
Physician Recruitment - Physician recruitment assistance is offered to physicians on staff at Lake Health. We provide education about the recruitment process, identify candidates, advertise opportunities, and provide tours of our facilities and the community, and make candidate travel arrangements. Consulting - Human resources, account receivable management, patient satisfaction, marketing, supply inventory management and budgeting and planning are operations topics that can be addressed. Forms, policies and other resource materials are available.
Training - Practice operation assistance is provided by the Physician Services Department through a variety of programs. Educational programs focused on practice operations are offered to physicians and their staff on a regular basis at reasonable fees. The programs are held at a Lake Health location or the Moreland Mansion at Lakeland Community College. Programs are $25 for 2 1/2 hours of education. When appropriate, AAPC credit is offered.
Management Support - The Eastside Physician Office Manager’s Council meets quarterly offering networking and support to practice managers. An agenda is published prior to the meeting and a round table discussion encourages sharing best practices and resolving operational issues shared by one another.
Purchasing Discounts - Discounts on medical supplies and equipment are available through PSS (Physician Supply and Services) for those practices that are members of the Lake Health PHO. Discounts are also available on office supplies through Office Max.
The e-CW User Group meets monthly providing updates to the system, support for meaningful use attestation and sharing best practices and resolving operational issues shared by one another.
Permanent Staffing - A repository of resumes is kept on file for medical secretaries, medical assistants and billers/coders to be shared with practices looking for staff. Open positions can be announced through an e-mail blast and the Pulse newsletter.
CVs and resumes of physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants may also be available through our physician recruiter.
Temporary Staffing - When the need arises you can secure temporary medtcal secretaries through a discounted program with Office Team. The candidates are prescreened with drug tests, reference and background checks, and have been trained to schedule and register patients with e-CW. This is a cost effective way to maintain the patient flow in your office satisfying the needs of both physicians and patients.
Time Share Space - Time share spaces managed by Lake Health are housed in our Madison, Chardon and Willowick Campuses and the TriPoint Physician Pavilion. These spaces may be leased in 4 hour blocks of time to broaden the reach of your practice. The lease includes the use of phones, copiers, fax and wireless access.
A list of time share spaces offered in other locations is also available upon request. These spaces are not managed by Lake Health so pricing and availability information is not maintained.
Monthly Newsletter - The Pulse focuses on medical office staff and physicians. Features include a Jobs Corner, to advertise open positions; Coding Corner, to announce coding changes or questions; upcoming educational workshops, feature articles and helpful practice management information. Our Physician Outreach Representatives are proud to serve as liaisons for business development and process improvement. The Outreach Representatives visit physicians to share knowledge about Lake Health service lines and new technologies, review physician pertinent data and recognize physician contributions that benefit our mutual goal of providing quality care to our patients.
