We provide 24/7 emergency services at TriPoint Medical Center (Concord), West Medical Center (Willoughby) and our Madison Emergency Department. Each offers a highly trained staff and the very latest medical advances. TriPoint and West Medical Centers are Certified Primary Stroke Centers and West Medical Center is an accredited Chest Pain Center.
Specially trained and certified emergency physicians
Our ERs are staffed by emergency medicine physicians from US Acute Care Solutions, a group of board-certified physicians, as well as nurse practitioners and physician assistants who specialize in emergency medicine. The physicians are trained to treat a wide variety of conditions and medical problems across all age groups. They will also help arrange proper follow-up care if needed.
Round-the-clock behavioral health expertise
Licensed social workers ensure that ER patients with mental health issues are promptly evaluated and either admitted or referred for treatment.
Thanks to our partnership with the Lake County Alcohol, Drug Abuse and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board, our patients receive the highest quality mental health care. The availability of emergency mental health services also has an economic benefit by shortening or eliminating hospitalization for many people undergoing a psychiatric crisis.
The ADAMHS Board has also created The Compass Line, an entry point for those who need behavioral health services but don’t know where to turn. A triage specialist helps callers sort through their feelings and symptoms, understand their options, and quickly connect with the proper resources. Call 440-918-2000 or 440-350-2000, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm.
Compassionate Care for Victims of Sexual Assault
Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) at Lake Health make sure sexual assault victims receive the best care. They are specially trained to minimize physical and psychological trauma while maximizing the collection of DNA and other evidence. Lake Health’s SANE nurses provide compassionate care to adult and pediatric victims, collect and preserve evidence and testify at criminal trials.
SANE nurses are available 24/7 at Lake Health’s Emergency Departments at West and Tripoint medical centers and at the Madison Campus. At each location, victims receive care from a SANE nurse and a victim’s advocate from the Lake County Prosecutor’s Victim Assistance Program. ER physicians examine victims for life-threatening injuries, then a SANE nurse begins to identify, document and treat the victim’s injuries while also collecting forensic evidence. SANE exams are paid for the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, with other related medical expenses covered by the Victims of Crime Compensation Fund. Free advocacy services are provided as well.
A note about your ER billing
You will receive a separate bill from US Acute Care Solutions for the doctor that you saw during your visit. The doctors are not paid by the hospital and are therefore required to send their own bill.
As with all other hospital visits, if you have insurance it will be billed first. However, you are responsible for the remainder if it is not covered by your insurance.
If you have any questions about your ER visit or your ER bill, please call our customer service department at 855-687-0618 during regular business hours.
