Reveal LINQ Cardiac Monitor

If you suffer from unexplained fainting, the Reveal LINQ Cardiac Monitoring system can help your doctor diagnose the problem.

While some causes of unexplained fainting are harmless, others may be life threatening. Heart-related causes, including abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmia), are among the most serious.

Round-the-clock heart monitoring

The LINQ is a tiny injectable device that operates without wires or patches outside your body. Electrodes within the monitor continuously and wirelessly record your heart’s electrical activity and detect problems using the same method as a standard electrocardiogram.

Alerting your doctor wherever you go

The system also provides remote monitoring through the Carelink® Network, which alerts your doctor if you have a cardiac event. The Reveal LINQ system also includes the new MyCareLink™ Patient Monitor, a simplified remote monitoring system with global cellular technology that transmits your cardiac device’s diagnostic data to your doctor from nearly any location in the world.

Monitoring ablation patients after surgery

The monitor is also useful for monitoring patients who have undergone ablation to treat atrial fibrillation (A-Fib). The LINQ monitor can improve post-operative monitoring by detecting silent episodes of A-Fib that do not produce symptoms. This more accurate tracking of heart rhythm can allow some patients to stop taking blood thinners.
