My First 5K
Want to run or walk your first 5K? We can help!
Your first race can be intimidating, especially without a plan. This eight-week program will provide you with the tools you need to successfully finish your first 5K race (3.1 miles).
Weekly support to help you succeed
The program begins with an information session followed by a meeting one evening a week, where you will learn about proper running techniques, nutrition, cross training, running wear and much more.This annual program is offered each Spring.
Each meeting will consist of a 30-minute lecture followed by a 30-minute run/walk. Our group support combined with your own physical training will have you ready for a 5K Run in no time!
Eight-Week Program Fee: $25
(Does not include the separate 5K Run fee)
You’ll also receive a high-performance t-shirt just for trying out our eight-week training program!
