As I write this, our hospitals are increasingly busy caring for a rising number of patients with COVID-19 symptoms that require assessment and, in some cases, testing, admission and intensive care.
For people dedicated to serving the community through health care, this is the professional challenge of our lives.
Since early this year, Lake Health has been preparing for the arrival of COVID-19 in our community. Throughout this rapidly changing situation, our absolute top priority is the health and safety of our patients and health care workers.
