Why would I want to join?
This group setting promotes accountability and drive. It’s easy to say “I’ll just go tomorrow”. However it is much harder to skip when others are expecting you to show up. This also allows your competitive drive to come out. Working out with others helps encourage people to work harder and reach that next level they didn’t know they could. Exercise can give you a sense of accomplishment by setting goals each class. For example, I only made it 20 seconds in this round this time; next time I’ll hit 30 seconds.
For some, a fitness center may be a place to come and clear their head and get some quiet time to themselves. For others, a fitness center is a great place to be social and create relationships. Group exercise classes help open that door to meeting new people. This helps build confidence and self-esteem.
