Highschool Student Career Development
Curious about a career in health care? Lake Health is here to help high school students like you gain experience with health care careers. Shadow inside a real Emergency Department, learn from a speech therapist, watch a finance expert in action – whatever your interests, Lake Health offers a wide variety of opportunities for students.
High School Junior/Senior Project Internship Program
This rogramfor high school juniors and seniors allows students to explore their career interests in the health care field and gain valuable work experience for up to three weeks of job shadowing. The application process begins in January with acceptance confirmed in early March. Orientation will be held in April, and the program will begin in May. Please contact the volunteer office with any questions at 440-953-6049.
When exploring your options for a career shadowing experience, consider these questions:
- What career readiness assessment have you taken?
- What did the results of that assessment teach you about your future career plans?
- What are your career plans and why?
- What do you hope to gain from your Junior/Senior Project?
