What is group acupuncture?
Group acupuncture allows you to enjoy a shared healing experience with the support of other patients. You will remain fully clothed, allowing access to acupuncture points including the ears, face, hands, legs and scalp. Very thin needles will be inserted into different points of the body for approximately 20 – 25 minutes in order to stimulate healing and create a therapeutic effect.
Can anyone sign up for group acupuncture?
You will need to meet individually with our licensed acupuncturist, Jacob Wolf, ND, LAc, Dipl. OM, before you begin group acupuncture. This initial visit will take approximately 30 minutes and will determine if you are a candidate for the group option.
Which conditions can be treated during group acupuncture?
Group acupuncture is generally good for people with pain or who need more frequent visits. Common conditions treated include:
- Acute and chronic pain
- Allergies
- Anxiety and depression
- Arthritis
- Insomnia
- Migraines and severe headaches
- Smoking cessation
- Stress reduction
What is the cost of group acupuncture?
Group acupuncture is available to you at a discounted rate. Group acupuncture visits cost $40 per session. Attendance is limited to support social distancing.
