New Partnership Expands Access to Health Care
Opening March 2019: Lake Health Beachwood Medical Center
Currently under construction by Lake Health, in partnership with Manna Isle Ohio and a group of 20 local independent physicians, Lake Health Beachwood Medical Center will be a state-of-the-art, 69,800 square foot, full-service acute care hospital specializing in orthopedics, urology, spine, general surgery and pain management. With this facility, Lake Health will expand its physician network and services to more communities. Learn more about this new option for care:
A specialized facility for specialized care
Located at the corner of Richmond Road and Chagrin Boulevard, the placement of this facility was chosen for a number of reasons, including that its proximity to I-271 makes it easily accessible for patients and caregivers. Easy, free parking makes visits even more streamlined.
Local jobs and physician partnerships
When completed, this full-service acute care hospital will employ 150-200 team members. Beachwood Medical Center will complement and strengthen Lake Health's existing service lines and physician partnerships. The new hospital is expected to serve as an additional location option for our current physician practices to expand, as well as for new practices seeking to partner with Lake Health.
Covered by many insurances
Beachwood Medical Center will accept Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance coverage for a variety of services.
This facility will feature:
- 24 private patient beds
- Operating rooms and procedure rooms
- 24-hour emergency services
- Diagnostic services, such as imaging procedures
- Physical therapy services.
Expanded access in Cuyahoga County
The hospital partnership will offer patients and employers throughout the Northeast Ohio region care that is high quality; cost effective; provided in smaller, more comfortable settings close to home. Beachwood Medical Center will create space for Lake Health’s clinically integrated physician network and diagnostic services to continue to expand into eastern Cuyahoga County. Lake Health has no plans to relocate existing departments or services to the new facility.
