Physician Services Resources
Susan Kruger is available to assist your practice with operational issues by phone at 440-354-1996 or by e-mail at susan.kruger@lakehealth.org.
We offer assistance to physicians on staff at Lake Health who would like to recruit new associates. We educate about the recruitment process, identify candidates, advertise opportunities, provide tours of our facilities and the community and make candidate travel arrangements. Contact our recruitment team at 440-354-1988.
We offer consulting assistance for human resources, accounts receivable management, patient satisfaction, marketing, supply inventory management, budgeting and planning topics, in addition to being a helpful source for forms, policies and other resource materials.
Practice operation assistance is provided by the Physician Services Department through a variety of programs. Educational programs focused on practice operations are offered to physicians and their staff on a regular basis at reasonable fees. Programs are held at a Lake Health location or the Moreland Mansion at Lakeland Community College. When appropriate, AAPC credit is offered.
The Eastside Physician Office Manager’s Council meets quarterly offering networking and support to practice managers. An agenda is published prior to the meeting and a roundtable discussion encourages sharing best practices and resolving operational issues shared by one another. The e-CW User Group meets monthly providing updates to the system and support for meaningful use attestation, sharing best practices and resolving operational issues.
Several group purchasing programs are available for practices that are members of the Lake Health PHO. Included are medical supplies, temporary staffing, compliance plans, medical waste hauling and transportation services.
A repository of resumes is kept on file for medical secretaries, medical assistants and billers/coders to be shared with practices looking for staff. Open positions can be announced through an email blast.
It’s easy to secure temporary medical secretaries through a discounted program with Office Team. Candidates are pre-screened with drug tests, reference and background checks and have been trained to schedule and register patients with e-CW. This is a cost-effective way to maintain the patient flow in your office on an as-needed basis. Medical assistants are available through a discounted program with Pro-Link.
Time share spaces managed by Lake Health are housed in our Madison, SOM Center and Chardon campuses, Beachwood Medical Center and the TriPoint Physician Pavilion. These spaces may be leased in 4-hour blocks of time to broaden the reach of your practice. A list of time share spaces offered in other locations is also available.
This team serves as liaisons for business development and process improvement. They visit physicians to share knowledge about Lake Health services and new technologies and assist with physician networking. To contact a Physician Outreach Representative, please call 440-375-8706.
