Cancer Prevention Program

Cancer prevention is personalized at the Lake Health Cancer Prevention Program.

Cancer occurs in about one in three adults in their lifetime. Because inherited gene mutations make it more likely that some people will develop cancer, genetic testing can help you understand your personal risks for cancer. We offer a comprehensive risk assessment questionnaire that helps determine if you may be a candidate for genetic testing. Learn more about how our team uses genetic testing to help patients manage their cancer risk.

Genetic Testing

Each test looks at 36 genes linked to an increased lifetime risk for one or more cancers, including:

  • Breast cancer
  • Ovarian cancer
  • Prostate cancer
  • Colon cancer
  • Pancreatic cancer
  • Stomach cancer
  • Melanoma
  • And more.

Many insurance plans cover genetic testing for cancer risk. Learn more about your specific coverage at 949-900-5500 or email billing@ambrygen.com with any questions about cost or insurance coverage.

Ask your primary care physician if you’re a candidate for genetic testing.
