Lung Cancer Screenings
Adults that don’t have symptoms but are at higher risk of developing lung cancer should talk to their doctor about lung cancer screenings using low-dose CT scans.
Yearly lung cancer screenings are recommended for people between ages 50 and 80 who:
- Have a history of heavy smoking
- Have quit smoking within the past 15 years, or are currently smoking.
Lake West and TriPoint medical centers have both been designated as an American College of Radiology (ACR) Lung Cancer Screening Center, recognizing our commitment to safe, effective diagnostic care for individuals at the highest risk for lung cancer.
If your doctor has recommended a low-dose CT scan to screen for lung cancer, call Lake Health’s Centralized Scheduling Department at 866-652-5253 to make an appointment.
