Our Lake County Emergency Departments are staffed by compassionate physicians ready to assess and treat both physical and mental health emergencies.
Licensed social workers ensure that Emergency Department patients with mental health concerns are promptly evaluated and either admitted or referred for treatment. Thanks to our partnership with the Lake County Alcohol, Drug Abuse and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board, our patients receive the highest quality mental health care, shortening or eliminating hospitalization for many people undergoing a psychiatric crisis.
If you need behavioral health services but don’t know where to turn, the ADAMHS Board offers The Compass Line, a great place to start. When you call, a triage specialist helps sort through your feelings and symptoms and helps you understand your options and quickly connect with the proper resources. Call Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm.
