Vascular Services
Millions of Americans have vascular diseases, which affect the blood vessels, arteries and veins that carry blood throughout the body. It’s most common in people over 50, yet many don’t recognize the symptoms until they have a stroke, aneurysm or blockage.
Lake Health offers innovative, state-of-the art procedures to diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of vascular conditions through the University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute. Treatment options can range from lifestyle modification to minimally invasive therapies and the most advanced surgical techniques. Our vascular and endovascular surgeons give you access to breakthrough medications, treatments and procedures close to home. Patients can be seen at Lake West Medical Center for local access, supported with expedited connection to the network of University Hospitals’ vascular providers if needed.
We provide nationally accredited vascular testing for accurate, noninvasive diagnostic testing of vascular disease through ultrasound. Our vascular ultrasound laboratory is accredited by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) for extracranial cerebrovascular and peripheral venous testing.
Lake Health also offers vascular access services, including minimally invasive procedures for patients who are having problems with veins that serve as access sites.
